Curved Impact Barrier Beam - 3.2m Effective Length | Custom Radius
When a run of barriers needs to follow a curve then you will need a custom section of Armco barrier that is specially formed to that curve. We are pleased to be able to offer Armco barrier sections custom-tailored to your requirements, we are able to produce sections of beam with a radial curvature of anything between 6m and 50m.
The Armco barrier is 3.2 meters long and will be curved based on its distance from the center of the circle (radius) as you can see in the diagram. Imagine tying a piece of string to the center of a circle and attaching a pencil to the other end. As you move the pencil along, it will trace the same curve that the Armco barrier will follow—in 3.2-meter segments. For a radius greater than 50 meters, we recommend using straight sections instead, as they will achieve the same effect.
These curved sections can be produced both in a convex and concave format to suit a range of applications. Unfortunately, as these items are custom made to order to ensure a good fit they are not a stocked product, so therefore, will see a slightly longer delivery time.
Curved beams can create a neat finish, perfect for trailing a circular type ramp in a multi-storey car park offering protection for walls and the vehicles travelling in the area. All sections of our custom beams are hot dip galvanised to protect against long term corrosion ensuring a long life span.
