This 36” long Navvy Pick shaft is part of the Shocksafe range from Carters. It is ideal for replacing a damaged or worn shaft on an existing Navvy pick or for converting a non-shocksafe pick.
The head of the shaft is suitable for a BS Standard 3” x 2” eye and is a tap fit. When installed on the appropriate head, this handle makes the tool BS8020:2011 compliant, meaning it will withstand shocks up to 10,000V.
The shaft has a fibreglass core and a durable injection moulded polypropylene outer, making it lightweight and incredibly robust.
